Since around 2000, Michael has focused on score and soundtrack productions for feature films, TV and documentaries. His experience is based on both classical knowledge, with orchestral and ensemble-work at its centre, as well as contemporary and popular music. Michael has been using his creativity in music production for films - producing, engineering, editing, mixing and a little composing, therefore Michael's company "Michael Pärt Musik" is a music & production company that centers on creative and technical part in film score productions, as well as consultancy and logistical help for music productions. Some of his career highlights include collaborations with film director Francis Ford Coppola, composer Howard Shore, Richard Harvey, Osvaldo Golijov, rock band Arcade Fire and Icelandic pop artist Björk.
